Alan Clegg
I’m trying my best to change my attitude on life.
During a recent plane trip from Boston to Raleigh (American Eagle RJ), we hit some pretty harsh turbulence. I was in the bulkhead seat on the 2-seat side (3B I seem to remember) and could do nothing more than treat the ride as a roller coaster.
Every drop brought a “woo hoo!” from me — I don’t think that other folks on the plane enjoyed it as much as I did, but you know what? None of us had any control of the situation that we were in. I could do nothing more than “ride the ride” and enjoy life as it was thrown at me.
God grant me the serenity to accept (and enjoy as-is) the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.
Let’s do it… Everyone — Ride the Ride!
